LGBTQ Basic Awareness for Counsellors
Chloe Foster from Sussex Rainbow Counselling brings you an interactive training workshop on LGBTQ basic awareness. Come and learn about how you as a counsellor can become more confident in working with gender and sexual diversity with your clients.
This training is a whistle stop tour on the basics you need to know including use of pronouns, key words, the differences between gender identity, gender expression, biological sex and attraction. We will briefly look at how homophobia, biphobia and transphobia can affect our clients’ mental health and how you can as a counsellor can make your practice more LGBTQ inclusive.
